Fox News' Bob Beckel Calls For 'Ilegally' Killing Assange: 'A Dead Man Can't Leak Stuff' (VIDEO)

A Democratic Fox News analyst called for the assassination of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Speaking on the Fox Business show "Follow The Money" on Monday, Bob Beckel excoriated Assange for leaking the State Department cables that have roiled the world in the past week, and said that American special forces should kill him.

"A dead man can't leak stuff," Beckel said. "This guy's a traitor, he's treasonous, and he has broken every law of the United States. And I'm not for the death penalty, so...there's only one way to do it: illegally shoot the son of a bitch."

Julian Assange is not a criminal. He has never been convicted of a crime. He has never even been CHARGED with a crime, for goodness sake. Wikileaks has commited no crime either. None. Not a single law has been broken by Wikileaks. There is no law against the publishing of leaked documents. Leaking them is illegal, soliciting them is, but publishing is not.
Wikileaks has broken no laws.

Maybe it's not the Wikileaks fallout, but as a "holier than thou" kind of country we espouse torture, secret prisons, secret wiretaps. Who labeled others as "evil empires", evil-doers? Which president of our country attacked an Arab country under the guise of looking for weapons of mass destruction, didn't find them and then went on to joke about not finding them, long after launching "shock and awe" . It's not Wikileaks that has exposed our lies and deceptions, it is our behavior as a nation! Perhaps we need to stop pretending we are better than everyone else and join the rest of the human race to solve the problems of this world instead of causing more!

Bob Beckel is the worst commentator and political advisor I have ever seen or heard.

He advised Mondale to announce a huge tax increase to the whole nation
in a televised debate with Reagan.
At that moment, the election was over(6 weeks before the voting).
Mondale went on to lose 49 States and won only DC and Mass.
(Great campaign Beckel!!)

Beckel also helped Mondale pick a little known Congresswoman with a very
light resume to run as Mondale's VP, Ferraro, who was not qualified to be VP or Pres.

Perhaps, Beckel is worried that he and some of his former bosses will be
exposed to the world for the fools that they really are in some of the Wiki leaks info yet to be released.

Sadly, this isn't incredible. It ought to be actionable, and Beckel should hear about it and should make amends for calling for an assassination. A for Fox "News", I have no respect at all for any of Fox's programming. Murdoch is leading us straight into the sewer.

first of all, if he is on Fox news he is not a Democrat. He is just being paid to say he is.

Secondly, if you kill Julian today the leaks will continue tomorrow as Julian is not the one who is doing it obviously. While he sits in jail on a fake rape charge the leaks continue.

Any politician worth his salt who sees this stuff should say we need to straighten up. Instead of trying to kill Julian or prosecute him, look at the actions of this country and learn from them

Bob Beckel was Walter Mondale's campaign manager in 1984 and worked on RFK's 1968 campaign. Michael Moore has even posted this during his UnAmerican support of Julian. He also co-wrote "Common Ground: How to Stop the Partisan War That Is Destroying America." in 2007. It's cockroaches like Julian and those in the Armed services who support him are exactly what's tearing America apart. Real Islamic terrorists are praising the guy today because he gave them not only new and detailed information on how to attack us, but he also divided the country further. As an Obama Democrat, I have never understood liberals who like to attack and undermine moderate Democrats like Obama and even Clinton and Carter to some extent . This will give fuel for the tea party Palin's of the world to wrongly link Obama to the real left wing "soft" terror groups like Wiki-leaks and Julian. The sad part is it will work. If the economy recovers to normal and Obama still looses in 2012, I will blame this for some of his defeat. Don't fool yourselves, Obama, while not matching your Utopian 110% transparent President, is far better then the GOP alternative. But as they say, you don't know what you got till it's gone. I might add Obama is learning form mistakes of the Bush administration, just not as fast or as radically as you would like him to.

Bob Beckel. This man acts like a criminal and shows the true face of the right wings in USA, ready to revert to assassinations and everything they can to stop what they do not like. These men are pathetic and the true enemies of humankind.
In every civilised countries, there are laws which forbid calling for someone's death. This man should be simply jailed for long as an example. By the way, this man is no better than those Imans calling for murders.

The way our politicians reacts towards Wikileaks shows the amount or respect they have for citizens being the souverain. When they want to cover their illegal operations, they call those top secret and anyone wishing to investigate becomes an ennemi of state, and should be turned to their illicit prisons either in Guantanamo or Poland where they apply torture.

If Wikileaks does not win this one, this will prove that democracies are completely fake. We will out of trouble if everyone writes to his local MP and ask for strict transparency of foreign operations. Our government have to answer for their actions anywhere. By showing the example, we might help these countries to evolve in the same way, towards full respect of people locally and abroad.

I ask anyone to contribute to Wikileaks or to multiply these activities worldwide and not only just aimed at the USA but all countries and large companies as well.

This might be our next step towards wisdom.

Well, the German government may not agree with you. Senator Kerry has said Germany may ask to have the American Ambassador to be recalled after embarrassing cables about the German government were released. Thankfully, most other western nations don't have the blogs and 24 hr news cycles we do. Any story of Bob Beckel's comments will blow away in a few days. The damge done to American's reputation worldwide could take years to fully repair, which is sad because Obama was finally making progress after 8 years of Bush. Just like a liberal hit man (pardon the pun) to take down the policy advancements of the most liberal U.S President we've had in a long while. Not liberal enough I suppose. I wounder if he'd like Sarah Pailn any better, because all his illegal leaking does in boost her chances of wrongly tying this nut to Obama and winning in 2012.

uh, sorry to inform you Mr. Beckel, but Julian Assange isn't an American citizen, so it doesn't come close "treasonous"(what Assange has allegedly done). i know its fox news but jeez, could you at least try to be a little more informed!
