Khloe Kardashian Compares TSA Search To Rape (VIDEO)

First Posted: 12/07/10 10:10 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

Khloe Kardashian hates flying - and doesn't much appreciate the TSA's new pat down security checks, either. Appearing Monday on 'Lopez Tonight,' the reality star told the host about a recent uncomfortable encounter she had at the airport.

"Well, they basically just are raping you in public. I got asked the other day, do you want to go for a screening or get padded down, I don't want that X-Ray to see everything, honey," she said. Perhaps it was a bad choice.

"The people are so aggressive! It's like, 'Chill out, you didn't find anything on me yet, calm down,'" Kardashian pleaded. "They say, 'OK, I'm going to be patting you down and I'm going to be touching the crease of your ass.' That is so inappropriate!"

Khloe isn't the first Kardashian sister to have problems with the TSA - in September, sister Kim was photographed getting a full body metal detector wand search.

Calm down Khloe... rape no... sexual molestation ... probably.

I notice she - or maybe the reporter - doesn't know the difference between "patted down" and "padded down." Wonder what being "padded down" would be like?
Personally, after you've been into hospital for a few operations, you don't much care who sees or touches what. I do think it's wrong to reach under children's underwear, though. While I suppose a terrorist might rely on our presuppositions of childhood innocence to put explosives on them, surely a lump or package could be detected without groping like that. You just have to ask: "Would you want a parent to do that?" and how much less, a stranger.

The Kardashians are crazy themselves.. buttt the new TSA procedures are completely ridiculous.. and no matter how much training a person has had.. their sexuality will always come into play when singling out an individual and during the pat-down process itself.

The new TSA Christmas Carol from NMA.tv is HILARIOUS! It flames them in a humorous way:

Better them than you?

What happened to equal protection under the law? John Boehner can walk around the scanner but Kloe Kardashian might be a terrorist?

I got your comment on my page and I wanted to respond. I am always amazed when someone simply doesn't get what I am saying when I am sure I was clear. First off, I have no children and if I did I would not consider the scan as the "government taking naked pictures of them." Sure I would rather not have to bother with either the scan or the pat down but if you noticed I said, I HAVE BEEN PATTED DOWN EVERYTIME I HAVE BOARDED A PLANE SINCE 9-11. EVERY SINGLE TIME. So yeah it would make my day to not be treated differently everytime I want to fly somewhere. It would be great if they could tell me, go through this machine and be on your way instead of, go stand over there and a woman will be by to search you soon while my husband stands around waiting for me. It is simply another way of looking at it. As far as caring that they see me naked, so frickin what, I don't have 3 nipples or didn't last time I checked. Some people just trip too much for nothing. This is supposed to keep us safe, do you really have a problem with that?

They can use that scanner on me anytime. I have read that experts agree that you get more radiation on the actual plane ride than about 1000 of those scans AND I have been patted down every single time I have flown since 9-11, no choice. I have an artificial hip that sets of the detectors. So hey, scan me and make my day!

As for the suggestion that the pat down is the same as rape, someone slap this woman, please! I have been the victim of rape and I have been patted down countless times, guess which one I prefer.

He had to spoon feed her that setup intro, very mechanical stoped watching before she finished the first sentence.

Hate to bag on her but I will anyway............. I guess the good looks gene wasn't available to her at inception. .

Did it work when the woman wore a bikini to avoid the patdown? I'm seriously thinking of doing that next time I fly, it it avoids the patdown or the radiation from the body scan.
06:41 PM on 12/08/2010
Why do you think you can avoid a patdown or a scan by showing up in a bikini? Remember the 8 year old boy whose shirt they took off and the TSA agent felt up his skin and hair? If the TSA want to rub you and take naked pictures, guess what, you are going to let them or they won't let you fly!

So, do you believe it is okay to allow the government to feel people up, squeeze their genitalia and breasts and stick their hands down the pants of every man woman and child that gets on an aircraft? How does this make us safe?
09:34 PM on 12/09/2010
No, I fly very often and I agree with you 100%. Going to the airport is now a experience that most people try to avoid because of the TSA search. ONE thing I disagree with, is TSA searching children...now thats traumatizing!!!

She was joking about the mayo. The story stipulates that is was a joke, on Kourtney.

Hey Khole-that's the same feeling you and your family has done to the American public for years on TV and in the Tabloids!. How does it feel?

So if they sexually assault the "rich" it's okay?
07:50 AM on 12/08/2010
As a victim of sexual crime, I personally do not feel comfortable with the regulations that are currently imposed for airline travelers. I respect and appreciate the need for safety, but touching me in inappropriate places or using such a detailed scanner are both invasions of my privacy as a human being in my opinion. Only criminals who have already lost their rights should be subjugated to this sort of treatment. Khloe may have been a bit crass or extreme in her comparison, but I agree with her general stance on the issue and I personally won't fly again until regulations change. I'm lucky I already had my honeymoon earlier this year before all these changes took place!

I understand your feelings. As a victim, I also feel extreme discomfort at the idea of being touched by another person besides my hubby. I understand the reasons and I do wish for the American people and all it's travelers to remain safe, however, so I feel torn.
