Hi. let me 1st say The ADA thing is not to lift ban but to let Me keep my service dog. An another vet as well.
What is so hard about serving those that served you? I served my country. An now need my dog to serve me. An the City dose not want me to have a normal life. An now wants my friends to spy on me an my dog?

All my friend know my dog. an love him. An guess what there kids as well. An the parents have no worry's about my dog around the kids. They all get along fine.

I'm glad I moved from Colorado to Massachusetts in 2004. My Annie is a beautiful , loving Parsons (Jack) Russell Terrier and German Short-haired Pointer mix proven by DNA testing. Everyone thinks she's a pit bull or a pit mix because of her appearance. When I tell them her heritage, some still don't believe me. If they are that rude about, I'll repeat, "she isn't a pit bull.... but I am!" My innocent dog being the object of scorn and suspicion repeatedly makes me cranky.

But, these experiences have taught me about the true nature of bigotry and I think I'm a wiser and more sensitive person because of it.

I wouldn't spit on Denver. I have two pitty rescues and they are wonderful. Denver sucks. Aurora too. Oh in in their article, they spelled "counselors" as councilors. Oh well. It's Colorado.

I am still blown away that the capital of the most dog friendly state (including most dogs per capita) is one of the few cities that still bans pits.  There are hundreds of pits in the kennels surrounding Denver because everyone who moves here has to give up their dog.  Ridiculous.

its not the breed its the owners - any breed can go wrong. Its the owner not the dog.
Where does it end? chow chows? german shepards? chihuahuas can be nasty too.

I've met more mean chihuahuas then I have ever met even slightly distemperate pits.

me too, thats why I wonder how many breeds will be banned, this is terrible precedent.
I believe I read somewhere that postal carriers are bitten most often by mini poodles!

Punish people who fight dogs, with prison time...punish people who abuse animals with prison.....Enforce the cruelty to animals laws..Any dog of any size can potentially do harm...ANY breed. It would seem that if folks are concerned with a certain breed- require
muzzles.

Anybody remember what two pit bulls did to the lady working in her barn in Elbert County? Keep the ban.

This article is NOT about the pit ban, its about Denver's illegal enforcement of a ban pit bulls serving as service dogs. These dogs are highly trained and specifically matched with their disabled owner. It doesn't make any sense to ban these well trained dogs.

If Denver can ban mountain lions, they can ban pit bulls. You don't have a constitutional right to keep a species or breed that kills.

And there was my brother who was walking home from Metro State and was attacked by two of them without warning. Thank God he survived.

These dogs are highly trained and specifically matched with their disabled owner. It doesn't make any sense to ban these well trained dogs. All dogs can be dangerous, where does this end? I suppose you would be for banning loaded weapons as well though?
