Drea de Matteo Is Pregnant

Drea de Matteo is pregnant, Life & Style reports. The Emmy-winning actress, 38, was engaged to Shooter Jennings in summer 2009.

The magazine's press release follows:

Actress Drea de Matteo is four months pregnant, a friend of the star happily reveals to Life & Style!

"She's barely showing but is telling close friends and family how excited she is," the friend says.

Drea is best known for playing Adriana La Cerva on HBO's The Sopranos. Most recently, the played a pregnant woman in an episode of Law & Order: SVU. Photos from the set on November 30 showed a very pregnant Drea in character. "That pregnancy bump was just for filming," says the source. "She hasn't popped yet."

This will be Drea's second child with her fiance, Shooter Jennings. The couple's first, Alabama Gypsyrose, is now 3 years old.

They probably call their daughter Allie. deMatteo certainly does look like Portia DeRossi. The resemblance is stunning. I recently read an article speculating why celebrities give their children unconventional names. It suggested that because the children are born of well known people already, the unusual, attention-grabbing name gives them a kick start into a possible career in entertainment that requires them to stand out from the rest. Who knows if that's really true. Just one author's perspective.

Until I read the detail, I was thinking this WAS Portia DeRossi, but knew her name(Portia) from Ally McBeal, and of course wondered who the guy was(isn't Portia and Ellen DeGeneres a couple?)....

then remembered her from Desperate Housewives. OH.....(slapping head)

but they do sure look very much alike.
