I hope that Elizabeth's children get to have the remaining parent do right by them.

I was touched by this video and by Elizabeth Edwards. She will be remembered as a beautiful, eloquent and exceptional woman who demonstrated grace in very difficult circumstances. Condolences to her children and those who knew her. She will be missed by all of us.

Rest in perfect peace Elizabeth Edwards. I will always remember how down to earth your persona always struck me, a real everyday kind of person. God bless and keep your grieving family and friends at this sad, sad time. I hope you were greeted by your beloved son who preceded you in death.

In the few times I saw her on TV she was very eloquent, composed and humble. She made a lot of sense without flash. Sad day.

Elizabeth suffered many insults over the years, both to her mind, body and spirit...

seems like such an awful lot for one person to bear. Not many of us is called upon to undergo so much in our lives.

She lived a transparent life, and lived out the journey as she strove to find her way through the tragedies which confronted her. She didn't seem to mind letting us know that she was an imperfect human being, just like we are. For this, Elizabeth, we owe you a debt of gratitude.

Condolences to your loved ones who have been left behind, somewhat comforted perhaps, with the knowledge that you may no longer be suffering.

While brilliant ideas might move us forward, elegance of the heart sets the tenor. Elizabeth Edwards set the tenor, every day, over and over and over. If we all aspred to be a little more like her, then the world would be a much better place!

One regret I now have is that I didn't follow her career/ideology. During the last 24 hours, I've seen several different interviews with Mrs. Edwards. She was a remarkable, very strong woman.

May her soul rest in peace with the Lord. May her family find strength to get through these trying times.

Why do the good leave us so soon. I know you are safe and at peace. Thank you for caring for others and helping. You will be missed, but you made the world a better place.
