Signs Welcoming & Disinviting Tourists Around The World (PHOTOS)

Everyone encounters locals on their travels. New Yorkers, for instance, are given such a bad rap as being rude and unfriendly, that a website entitled "Ask A New Yorker" was established to make the city dwellers seem more approachable (there was even an entire television ad campaign to go with it).

There will always be places that are presumed to be unfriendly or even unhelpful to tourists. Some cities, like those in the United Kingdom, remind tourists and forgetful locals alike to "look right" when crossing the street since the traffic goes in the opposite direction of the United States. While that's nice, some other places are just plain unhelpful and downright rude.
