Chris Bosh's South Beach Home (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 12/13/10 01:19 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:20 PM ET

Miami Heat star LeBron James recently bought a $9 million home outside South Beach, but that didn't top teammate Chris Bosh's home. The Heat forward purchased a $12.5 million mansion back in late September, according to the Miami Herald.

Bosh's 12,000 square foot home features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, an elevator and a heated infinity pool.

Check out the photos of Bosh's new home here.

Uhh, it seems as if it was yesterday; his dorm unit was down the hall from mine. I actually got into the elevator with him once but didn't notice him until I looked at the ceiling--this guy is tall. I remember when he was leaving GaTech to join the NBA draft, there were all sort of hand written and printed papers plastered all over our dormitory begging him to stay. Back then, he looked so droopy.

It's funny that some people like to make themselves feel better by saying that athletes who buy big things will be broke after retiring.

You have the MC Hammers and the Latrell Sprewells of the world, but let's not forget you also have Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas... just to name a few examples of people who made lots of money, spent lots of money, but invested and created businesses and STILL have plenty of dough.

I can't stand haters. Get yours, don't hate others for doing what you can't do.

When Chris is broke and homeless within 3 years after retirement he can enjoy the photos.

That looks a lot like the home the "Hogan Knows Best" clan was living in a few years ago, before their collapse...

Outside of the all white look, I like the pictures of Bosh's "home" better than the ones of Lebron's.

Fast forward ten years and show me the overpass he'll be living under when he's broke. Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke. Can you say "Latrell Sprewell"?

I doubt that these individuals will be broke once they retire. The money they are being paid is ridiculous ($100,000,000). Along with that money are the increased business opportunities that all 3 will have. Lebron is more than basketball. He's a world wide businessman that runs with the likes of Warren Buffett. I suspect Lebron, DWade, Bosh, as well as Udonis Haslem (he took less money to stay) will do well financially off court.

And, did I mention, this is not their last contract barring injury.

This guy will be bankrupt within 10 years of retiring. It happens to all of the marginal types. They overspend to keep it real and then have nothing to show for it. Ask Latrell Sprewll, Antoine Walker.

These headline writers need to quit labeling everything "South Beach". South Beach is the southern end of Miami Beach. This house is on Miami Beach, but near the area called North Beach. It is not South Beach. And LeBron's house is in Coconut Grove, which is in Miami.

Funny, all of us folks living in south Florida refer to it as South Beach as well...part of Miami Beach, sure, but we still call it that. Thanks Captain Semantics for interjecting your little geography lesson. Is it safe to guess that you live on the other coast up in Tampa?

No, I live up the coast from Miami. Everything in Miami-Dade Co. is not South Beach. Miami Beach and South Beach are not automatically the same thing. And Coconut Grove is certainly not South Beach. I guess I have to be Capt Obvious, but North Beach is not South Beach, far from it. That is why areas have different names, because they are actually differnt places. I have a house in Palm Beach to sell you for three million dollars. Actually it's a condo in west Delray, but you don't seem to mind.

One of the ugliest modern homes I've seen...and I'm a huge fan of modern homes. No color, no contrast, no landscaping.
