Joe Miller Taking Alaska Senate Race Ruling To State Supreme Court

Joe Miller

JUNEAU, Alaska — Republican Joe Miller is taking his challenge to the Alaska Senate race to the state Supreme Court.

The court confirms that Miller filed an appeal Monday. Arguments are set for Friday.

Last week, Alaska state court Judge William Carey ruled against Miller in his challenge to how the state conducted the election and counted write-in ballots for his rival, Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Miller faced a Monday deadline for filing an appeal in light of a tight court schedule.

Unofficially, Murkowski garnered more votes than Miller in the Nov. 2 election, but the state's certification of the results is being held up until while Miller's legal case is resolved.

Joe Miller is the Hiroo Onoda of American politics! Totally deluded.

there's an epidemic problem with the GOP. They somehow never got the memo that laws and legislative rules were meant to PROMOTE JUSTICE and EXPEDITE.

They somehow learned it backwards, believing instead that laws are for blocking justice and legislative rules are for stopping activity.

Maybe it's a problem with the schools that GOP kids go to?

He really would fit in well as a Senator. Doesn't care at all what the will of the people is and is ready to push forward at all costs for his own personal gain.
Those are 2 attributes held by nearly every member of the US Congress.

Joe, following legal precedent counts towards "following the law". You're a lawyer (allegedly), you know that. Still fund raising are you, Joe? Say Goodbye, Joe. (Goodbye Joe).

Alaska seems to be a hotbed of sleazy GOP politicians much like Arizona. Hmmm...where have I seen that connection before?

Enough already. Enough of this denial. Even if they threw out every single contested vote, Miller would still lose.

Enough of this false patriotism the teabaggers like Miller claim to hold a patent on. Miller is not doing this for any altruistic reason or purpose. He is doing it because he cannot handle the truth: he lost.

Enough of people like Miller and his supporter Palin, who scream about government interference and the will of the people and then expect certain branches of government to intervene against the will of the public.

Enough.
