Strike a pose -- 'Zoolander 2' is coming down the runway.
Owen Wilson was in New York on Sunday to promote his new film, 'Little Fockers,' but spoke with Cinemablend about the long awaited sequel to his and 'Fockers' co-star Ben Stiller's cult comedy hit. For 'Zoolander' fans, it was really, really ridiculously good news.
"I just saw him now and we're talking about doing another Zoolander movie," Wilson said of Stiller, who was at the same New York hotel to do the press junket. "I think so. I think there's a really good script and I think we're going to do it."
In October, Wilson speculated on the sequel, including on his character, Hansel. "The thing about Hansel is he can't ever imagine himself, so even if he isn't the #1 guy, I think he still carries himself as if [he's the big star]," he told MTV News. "He'll still have that Hansel swagger."
Already, Ben Stiller is planning a series of 'Zoolander' cartoon web shorts, according to the New York Times, and said that they could lead to a TV show or film. Now, we know the direction they'll be taking.
In November, Viacom said that the film was one of their highest priorities, but it takes the two stars to make it happen -- and it seems like Blue Steel is indeed on its way back.
