David Arquette: 'I've Been Drinking A Lot Because I'm Heartbroken'

David Arquette is in a dark, dark place.
Following the actor's separation from wife Courtney Cox, Arquette has seen his life spiral. He appeared on 'The Howard Stern Show' on Wednesday, and when Stern him asked him if he was suffering from a mental breakdown, Arquette pulled no punches, saying, "I believe so."
"I've been drinking a lot because I'm heartbroken," Arquette said (via Us Weekly). "It's really a personal, traumatic thing."
And the drinking has not led to good things. At a recent party, he had trouble identifying the biggest movie star in the world.
"I was a little wasted," Arquette told Stern. "Someone says 'Hi David!', and I said, 'Hi Sean! Then I realized it was Tom Cruise. Tom was cool about it...I was so embarrassed. I was like 'I gotta get the f*** out of here.'"
It wasn't just a one time mess, though; Arquette has been spotted out partying since the October split, including a late November rager in Miami.
He's also had extramarital sex with two women -- albeit after the separation -- including Jasmine Waltz, who claims Arquette broke down crying after sleeping with her.
As much as it seems Arquette misses Cox, he told Stern he wants more kids with ex-girlfriend Drew Barrymore.
"I know she is with Justin Long and everything, but would cool would an Arquette-Barrymore child be?" he pondered. "From a pure breeding standpoint."
