New Year's Eve Concerts In NYC (VIDEOS)

This New Year's skip the overpriced bars and clubs with weak DJs for a musical celebration (aka concert) that you know will be good.

Toast to another year of great performances with iconic groups like Guided By Voices, Chuck Berry and Patti Smith. Also ringing in the new year, is feisty Sharon Jones and the Dap King's and jam-band favorite Phish.

hahahaha, you're deluding yourself if you think you can purchase a Phish ticket for NYE for $70... the TicketMaster charge alone for that show is 25 bucks and that's IF you can buy a ticketmaster ticket in the 2 minutes they're onsale. It's not because Phish is so popular on NYE, it's because Ticketmaster sells all of it's tickets to scalpers, brokers and ticket agencies DAYS before they go onsale to the public. Then, just like options on shares, any tickets the brokers/scalpers can't sell for $500+ they simplt release their claim on the option and the tickets go back into ticketmaster to be trickled out, with no notice up until show time.
