I suppose that this was a teachers fault? We blame everything else on teachers.

Well they are using Faith Based Grant to fund Republican Campaigns .

Rev. Graham who took Palin to Haiti pays his self $570,000 a year and donate $1 Million + to Politicians from Faith Based Grants.

Faith based grants that are tax avoidance schemes....I wish we would do away with all charitable deductions....If it is important to you, then you do it anyway,,,otherwise I for one do not want to subsidize tax avoidance schemes for the Pampered and Privileged....

Sounds like embezzlement to me, or at best, damned poor accounting.

Ya mean Self Regulation doesn't work? Quiet We don't want to disturb Wall Street....

Finally - something I can comment on. I am sure the grant money was put into the school's budget. The grant money was not spent and then DC's "central office" took it and put it into the big pot. The staff who wrote the grant merely moved on and perhaps no one had the time to implement the program.

Mystery?

IT WAS OBVIOUSLY STOLEN!

This country has gotten so corrupt that it's simply mind boggling.

School board members are getting kick backs from local businesses to exploit children as tools for use in fundraisers that net, on average, 3 dollars per student per year.

The system is totally out of control.

Well of course it is....Nobody wants to be audited or monitored, they are all so very capable of self regulation including the rich and their taxes......Read Free Lunch....We need Bill Black at Treasury, he personally put away about 1000 people for Savings and Loan Fraud.....

Why am I not surprised. After all it is D.C. Where does any money go after it hits that town?

maybe someone should ask the educational reformer Michelle Rhee? As a seasoned veteran with great educational experience, maybe she can account for the missing money. LOL what a joke

Maybe someone should ask the "seasoned educator" who swiped or diverted the money.
