Fox News' Christmas Card (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 12/17/10 12:59 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:20 PM ET

Fox News is never one to shy away from bragging about its dominance in cable news. Apparently, the network's boastfulness extends even to the Christmas cards it sends out. HuffPost Media was one of the lucky recipients of this year's card, which features a lively ditty sung to the tune of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and touting Fox News' biggest stars. Below, see pictures of the card (the text of the rhyme is also below the images). And yes, for those who have wondered, those do appear to be sheep the foxes are playing chess with.

PHOTOS:

You know Shep, and Bret, Hannity, and O'Reilly. Hemmer, Jenna, and Megyn, Fox & Friends in the morning.

And as you recall,
We have the best anchors of all.

Fox News is the one you turn to,
For breaking news we are the source,
And whenever we're reporting,
You know it's fair and balanced, of course.

Some of the other networks,
Tried to beat us with silly games.
As FNC continued to dominate,
Their attempts all went down in flames.

Then one starry election night
The people came to say
Fox with your journalists so bright,
Won't you report our news tonight?

Then all the other networks
Had come to accept their defeat
We reported and they decided
Fox News is the one to beat

OK, some people posted that the meter of the Fox post card did not match "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" very well. Maybe they'll consider the following, which I think is a much tighter fit to another Christmas standard:

Fox News sucks
Fox News sucks
Bigots all the way
Young blond bimbos every night
With really naught to say

If they were going to do it, couldn't they at least make their rendition of rudolph fit within the meter of the original song?

It's good to see that they understand the spirit of the season: to be spiteful to their competition.

Thinking about ratings, how many other cable 'news' networks are on 24/7/365. Businesses like restaurants and other public places want the TV on all the time to a channel that will give some news. CNN is the only other one because MSNBC does not have full programming. CNN is the one with the problem not MSNBC. When and if MSNBC ever gets full programming, and on all of the basic cable tiers, will they actually be a competitor to Fox.

You Might think the experts on Christmas at fox would know that it is sacrilege to top a Christmas tree with a corporate logo.......

BTW, shouldn't O'Reilly be outraged at the lack of the word "Christmas" in this card?

Wow, is Fox news admitting with this card that their viewers are sheep? That is one bizarre, if albeit metaphorical, admission on their part.

Thats one unfunny and creepy card.

Did anyone else notice that the 3 foxes have ducks photo-shopped into them at the neck?

This card gets stranger the more you look at it.

Where's the Nativity set? Did Fox forget the true meaning of Christmas? Isn't that why we can't say 'Happy Holidays'?

"For breaking news we are the source"

For once, Fox tells the truth! They are indeed the "source" for their "news" -
