Free Shipping Day 2010: Everything You Need To Know

Listen up holiday shopping procrastinators! Today is the third annual Free Shipping Day, a one-day-only event in which retailers have teamed up to offer shipping on online orders (and delivery by December 24) at zero cost.

According to the Free Shipping Day website, over 1,500 retailers have agreed to offer free shipping today. One thousand stores, including Neiman Marcus, Overstock.com, L.L.Bean, Zappos, Barnes & Noble, and The Body Shop, are offering free shipping on all orders, with no minimum purchase required, and you can take advantage of free shipping (with some restrictions) at another 700 stores, such as Nordstrom, Macy's, Sears, and JCPenney.

See the full list of retailers here or here. Keep in mind that some retailers, like Zappos.com, WalMart, and Amazon, have free shipping offers beyond December 17th. WalletPop says of the "holiday,"

This year an amazing 37% of shoppers plan to take advantage of the free shipping deals by finishing up their holiday wish lists on Free Shipping Day. While some stores have free shipping minimums, usually $25 or $50, over 60% of the participating stores are offering free shipping with no minimums on December 17.
