Via LA Times: The A. Quincy Jones-designed home in Holmby Hills commissioned by philanthropists Sidney and Frances Lasker Brody has sold for $14.888 million after about seven months on the housing market. The home was originally listed at $24.95 million. The LA Times reports that the buyer is a "local investor" and that proceeds from the sale will benefit "Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino."

Sidney Brody passed away in 1983. When Frances Lasker Brody passed away in November 2009, the couple's extensive art collection was auctioned off by Christie's auction house; the Huntington Library was the beneficiary of the proceeds of the auction sales as well. Frances Lasker Brody served on the library's board for twenty years.
