'SNL': Julian Assange Responds To Mark Zuckerberg Being Named 'Person Of The Year' (VIDEO)

For the third time in as many weeks, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has made an appearance on "Saturday Night Live," by way of Bill Hader's hilarious impersonation.

On last night's year-end episode, Assange popped up during a televised statement by Mark Zuckerberg on being named Time's "Person Of The Year." Recently released from British jail, Assange interrupted Zuckerberg's announcement to discuss why the young Facebook mogul won the distinction instead of himself.

"Time magazine, always on the cutting age," Assange said. "Discovering Facebook only weeks after your grandmother."

After dissing Time, Assange began to list the differences between himself and Zuckerberg, starting with what they do:

"I give you private information on corporations for free and I'm a villain. Mark Zuckerberg gives your private information to corporations for money and he's 'Man of the Year.'"

Watch the clip below to hear the obviously bitter Assange list more reasons why Zuckerberg shouldn't have won, as well as what he learned with Facebook's "Which 'Sex & The City' Character Are You?" quiz.

As he has in the weeks before, Assange ended things on a slightly ominous note:

"Here's a status update: Democracy is dead. Happy holidays!"

Well, Person of the Year isn't necessarily about popular as I recall, if Time is still using a policy I remember from a few years ago. They said it's about a person they believe made a big impact on the world that year, good or bad. Bush was it in 2004 and Vladimir Putin in 2007 even though people hated them. But I didn't read what Time published about Zuckerberg yet (and I don't like Facebook or its policies anyway or find it useful for relationships) so what do I know.

If Democracy dies it was murdered by the Oligarchs, but since it isn't aired on Fox, no one cares.

Good on Bill Hader and the SNL writers. Character is creepy and right on at the same time.

I really love these Assange sketches. It's about the only thing SNL has done that I've laughed at in some time.

While I am not a fan of SNL, I found this one memorable, esp. how Wikileaks gives us corporate insider trash for free, while Zuckerberg gives corporations insider trash on Faceback users for cash.

Why is he unethical?? You get Facebook account for free. No one is forcing you to have Facebook account. When you create an account you accept the terms and conditions. Instead its unethical on your part to expect Facebook to give you their services for free and not make money of it

That's why every single information in my Facebook account is false ... they're marketing the preferences of a non-existing human being ...

Trust me, younger people have no privacy issues. They think it's a smart thing that money is made on them, when they are happy to give their info away for free - they wish they'd though if it first. They have grown up with everything they've done being "award worthy" and posted all over the web forever. Whatever.

I get it, but I also get I am over 40 and rarely, if ever post to Facebook, having pressed "like it" and only joined because of those young ones of mine.

There is truth in jest! Once in awhile gets a hold of character and situation a and runs with it and it's funny and poignant."I give you private information on corporations for free and I'm a villain. Mark Zuckerberg gives your private information to corporations for money and he's 'Man of the Year.'" Bill Hader is funny but needs to drop the maniacal laughter or tone it down a bit.

Actually, I've never seen Asange dressed this well. Everytime the camera catches him, he has on a pair of cargo pants and semi-formal shirt.
