Shaun Ellis Snowball Incident: Jets Star Sued For Attacking Seahawks Fan With Snowball In 2008 (VIDEO)

First Posted: 12/20/10 11:54 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:20 PM ET

Shaun Ellis, a defensive lineman for the New York Jets, has reportedly been sued for throwing a snowball at a Seahawks fan after a 13-3 loss in 2008.

In the video, it appears that Seattle fans threw several snowballs at the Jets players as they were walking through the tunnel. Ellis is then shown picking up a large chunk of snow and throwing it at a fan in the stands.

TMZ reported that the Seahawks fan, Robert Larson, claimed that he "suffered physical injury, humiliation, mental distress, pain and wage loss from the incident."

Larson also claimed that he had been waving a pro-Seahawks sign, making him a "perfect snowball target."

I love how he's dancing with the block of snow after it gets thrown at him, waving at the crowd and celebrating. And now he wants to sue.

now i want the entire Jets organization to counter-sue that guy. Video evidence shows a back and fourth. what a weak, weak, cowardly man. Nothing irritates me more than frivolous law suits....

That fan is having way too much fun, celebrating even, to even come close to being embarrassed or having any kind of anguish. This video will have the case thrown out pretty quickly.

What is wrong with fans? If you're throwing snowballs and someone throws one back at you, don't cry.

Yeah, he looks like he's injured in this video.
When the defense plays this in court this clown's case will evaporate. Any bets he's a bagger that doesn't believe in frivolous law suits?

Anyone can sue another person for anything...doesn't mean it will ever ever be a viable court case.

I can sue HP because someone hurt my feelings on the message board. It's just silliness.

The judge will look at this NFL incident and throw the case out. It's a joke.

When you have deep pockets, you can't do some of the things that everyone else does.
The case should be dismissed.
