Back in Fall and Summer, I gave you reading lists filled with books that are being adapted into movies. To mark the Winter solstice and a new season, I'm giving you guys a brand-new list for your shelf with even more titles that you'll be seeing on the big screen. I have had "The Devil In the White City", sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. I guess now would be the time to read it.

I would recommend Devil in the White City. I'm glad I read it before seeing the movie. I will wait for reviews before deciding whether to see it on film.

Devil in the white city was amazing. It was so well written and was able to weave the facts of history in with the grandeur of it all with a steady flow of plot. The parallel stories were told in a way that not only related them to one another but also to the world's fair. One of my favorites. Hope the movie can live up

I'm an older male and very much into books on history and espionage but recently I read a short book called "A Resectable Woman"   or "Wife" (I;m horrible when it comes to remember titles) which haunts me.  The book takes place in the Midwest in the early 1900s, focuses on three main charachters, and in some way signifies some odd type of redemption.  Although I read the book on a beach with temperatures in the 90s, I had a chill after reading this exceptional book.
