For whatever reason, Nuggets guard J.R. Smith seems to be at his best against the San Antonio Spurs. Last week at the Pepsi Center, Smith posterized Spurs guard Gary Neal with a powerful dunk that is already being talked about as one of the NBA's best of the year.
As an encore on Wednesday, Smith performed a 360 around would-be shot blocker Tim Duncan, and finished softly off the glass with is right hand. The finesse move, which accounted for two of Smith's 22 points in a rare start for the bereaved Carmelo Anthony, can be seen as a perfect complement to last week's display of brute power.
The only question is, what will Smith have in store when the Spurs and Nuggets play again in January?
