Facebook Down? Users Report Problems Accessing The Site

Is Facebook down?

Although the site DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com indicates there is no issue with Facebook.com, some Facebook users have reported issues accessing the social network.

Users took to Twitter to comment on the downtime. One Twitterer, @De_Bajan_Gal, tweeted, "Facebook is down...ok ok...breathe Danielle, breathe! AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" @Lloydwillis wrote, "I had something to say, but facebook was down, so I couldn't say it. Now the moment has passed. Don't worry, it wasn't important."

An error message reading "Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes." was appearing for some. (See screenshot below)

I have had a problem uploading an album, although I can upload one photo. I've never had a problem before, which is why I know I am following the right steps....well it's easy so how could you not?, but yet, it stalls in the last stage after I hit 'create an album'. Then I realized that if you load one photo and add to it, as an album, you can alleviate the problem.

this has happened to me a few times, but it's either couple of minutes long or related to games...and it's being happening for the last couple of days..... at first I though my account has being hacked, btu no other issues so far.... considering changing the password, just in case....

My FB is not working. Whenever we try to access facebook from any of our computers we are redirected to MYSPACE. It's very annoying. The only way I can read anything on FB is via my hootsuite acct.

My fbk is working just fine, thank goodness. I am currently snowed in with 14 inches of snow in Va Beach, a city with just a few snowplows attached to trucks...no big-monster snowplows in this beach town! Interstates are frozen ice underneath and neighborhood roads are snow with ice on the bottom. Facbk has been my entertainment and Huff Post my news source. Am enjoying the snow days so far, with help from fbk and Huff Post. Thx for being there and sharing the news. Now, I am off to enjoy a cup of hot cocca!

My connection is fine, but I have discovered a security issue. Someone began sending me messages that appeared to be from people I know, but were in fact probably hijacked FB identities, because my friends denied sending them, and eventually I put 2 and 2 together. The message reads something like, 'Is this your photo?', with a link. If you try to open the link, you should get a warning depending on the strength of your security settings or quality of anti-virus software. Anyway, FB suggested I change my password, which might be a good idea to periodically do.

I got just the error message, but my personal FB "outage" lasted only 5-10 minutes. Hardly a ripple felt.

I'm on FB. But this has happened to me when trying to accept gifts from my stupid games on there. Got right back to the home page though.

Tell us your location when you post here, so we can tell if it was regional. I'm in Toronto, Ontario and I had problems for about then minutes 30-20 minutes or so ago.
