Obama Birth Certificate Requests Increase In Hawaii

People who do not believe President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu in 1961 have stepped up their requests for proof of his birth this month, in the hopes that the new gubernatorial administration will offer more information.

Ann Dunham married Barack Obama in Maui, Hawaii on Feb 1961 and six months later, Barack Obama II was born (Aug 4, 1961.)

The Senior Obama and Dunham divorced in 1964, he returned to Kenya in 1995 and Ann went to Indonesia to join her second husband, Lolo Soetoro, in 1997 where the young Barack went to school for 2 1/2 years. If Dunham never left the country until 1997, Barack was indeed born on American soil to an American woman. She is reported to have graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1967. If birthers don't want to believe a birth certificate then University records would show her in the country during those dates but then........they would claim those were also forgeries, I suspect.

Considering the history of the constitutional qualifications provision, the common use and meaning of the phrase "natural-born subject" in England and in the Colonies in the 1700s, the clause's apparent intent, the subsequent action of the first Congress in enacting the naturalization act of 1790 (expressly defining the term "natural born citizen" to include a person born abroad to parents who are United States citizens), as well as subsequent Supreme Court dicta, it appears that the most logical inferences would indicate that the phrase "natural born Citizen" would mean a person who is entitled to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth.

False. It depends on the citizenship of the parents, which parent, and the reason for being out of the US.

For example, an American soldier stationed overseas in Germany with his wife, who has a child in a hospital off the military base, would still be able to call the child a natural-born citizen.

Try taking an Immigration Law class--or simply read anything written by Professor David Martin. Not sure if he still teaches, but he could set you straight.

I'd rather prefer to believe that Obama was born in Kenya; the birth being a world-shat­tering event, and announced by three predatory stars, led to a visit to the newly born son by three wise women from Down Below (whatever that is!) who prophesied that the newly-born son of a Luo man and an American woman would one day be the president of good-ole USA; whereupon, the three wise women contrived to have Obama's birth recorded somewhere in the USA; thereafter­, the three wise women journeyed to the USA by boat from Mombasa to record aforementi­oned birth in the USA to make Obama 'a natural born' son of the USA and thereby be eligible to be president as ordained!; with the boat returning the wise women breaking down and washing up onto Waikiki Beach; boat-wreck­ed terrified ladies ended up registerin­g the birth at a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii; and recorded same informatio­n in Honolulu newspapers­!----to complete the divine order!

This might be a stupid question. Once Obama was sworn in as president and he is the President. Wouldn't impeachment be the only way he can lose the presidency? I don't know if a presidency can just be "anulled" because someone found some detail that would make a person ineligible to President after he is already made President.

The first is a Constitutional provision, the second is part of the immigration code, 8 U.S.C. 1401. The "at the time of adoption" provision cannot be carried over into the subsequent statute unless that carry-over is explicitly designated.

After Obama was elected to the United States Senate in 2005, he moved into an apartment at 300 Massachusetts Ave NW; the Social Security number attached to that address is the 042 one. Yet, three years later, Obama used a different Social Security number for an address listed as: 713 Hart Senate Office Building. This was the address of his United States Senate office. This Social Security number began with 282 and was verified by the government in 2008.

This mystery grows even stranger as other addresses and Social Security numbers for Barack Obama appear in a dozen other states not known to be connected to him. Again, I am excluding those records names not spelled exactly like his name.

I really don't care about the birth cert. My issues is with the fact that we hav no access to any of his records. we know what Bush and Kerry's GPA was but we have no idea how Obama fared. also, this 'birther' issue is a red herring. let's look at the following:

As for his GPA, his presence on Harvard Law Review should clue you in to that. That means he either had a very high GPA or was an excellent legal writer, or both. His admittance to Harvard Law should also clue you into his GPA in undergrad. Unlike GWB, Obama didn't have a rich and powerful daddy to grease the wheels for him.
