Why don't we just make a law to outlaw saving. Consumption junkie are the national hero. Jail the guy who has money in his mattress.

Obama compromised with the Arctic, caved in to global warming, and we are now importing more snow from Canada than we produce on our own.

Most post-Christmas shopping is done on the Internet. The only thing that packs the store the day after Christmas is people returning to ghastly gifts they received for something more practical.

Oh the sales will continue . Macy's will have their every wednesday sale every day now. It's all crap made in China . They can wait

Why does the media continue to obsess and report on retail sales? We don't care how much of our money they want or make for offshore goods. The Chinese media should be more concerned than us! If they can't make high enough profits for their owners...too bad! Millions of Americans can't afford the goods they hawk endlessly to us.

Over hyped story...what about the other 2/3s of our nation that is not under snow? I think retail will be just fine in the big picture of consumerism gone off the rails. I have a new resolution this year...how little can I spend weekly....Scrooge in reverse I call it! What do you really need to live and what can you really live without?
