Berlin Police Pepper Spray Snowball Throwers

Two Berlin police officers were pelted with snowballs by 40 youths, but were able to fight their way out using pepper spray, the police reported.

According to Reuters, the police were investigating a brawl on Saturday when the youths began the icy assault. While the frozen fracas began with about 25 people, the number swelled to 40, according to the officers.

Snowball fights have taken a serious turn before, with a Washington, D.C. officer pulling a gun after being pelted with projectiles last year. There were no injuries reported in either case.
