Ahead of the Super Bowl XLIV game, the Indianapolis Colts were favored by four over the New Orleans Saints. But in the end, the underdog Saints beat the Colts 31-17, and took home their first-ever championship trophy.

The Giants' parade down Market Street after winning the World Series since moving to San Francisco. It was the same route they took when they moved to San Francisco in 1958. Willie Mays had the pleasure of being in both parades.

Best sports moment?...the 30 yard line in Neyland Stadium with my daughter and 105,000 friends for Tennessee- Mississippi and 32 "Rocky Tops". Nothing beats SEC football!

Boo Lakers! No one outside of LA could care less about them winning twice in a row. I'd take Miami over them this year and then get really depressed and drunk.

in regards to our giants. i was so so disgusted with the coverage of them during the play offs and the series. time after time, it was the other team not really hitting or pitching to their best and that in the next game we will see the real team this time. never the giants given their props for a well played and well fought game. in some cases, even after they had won the series, there were a few who did not give them the credit they deserved.

Definitely one of the worst covered playoffs for both the Giants and Rangers (until the Series where the Giants kept on getting cr@pped on). The MLB should just let local media stations cover their teams because it's ridiculous how much press the Yanks, Phils, and Braves get. F the Eastern Seaboard Propaganda Network!

I remember the AP prediction well: Rangers in 6. The national media, who had not followed the Giants at all, could have maybe checked out how the Giants had done against strong hitting teams during the year. I'm a homer to be sure, but to underestimate the best pitching staff in the majors?
They also missed that the Giants always seemed to always get just enough runs across the plate even against the best pitchers. In other words, the Giants weren't great hitters but they were great clutch hitters.
Sheesh.

Best sports moment of 2010 for me was Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga's reaction when he was robbed of a perfect game. In the chest-thumping environment in which we live nowadays, it was really refreshing to see an athlete (one with an actual grievance) act with class and dignity.

Landon Donovan's GOAL in the World Cup...can't touch it!!! best moment this whole year.. YES my dad's a Saints fan and that was amazing... YES i live IN SF and we won the World Series... but int he world of Soccer, the WORLDS SPORT, ONE goal brought a divided nation together! THAT was the best moment probably for the decade. :)

Fourth Quarter Porter deserves big kudos. We Saints fans, until this year, never had so many "Best Sports Moments" to choose from. We're still having "Best Sports Moments" and will continue to float on cloud nine through the first week of March. No one outside New Orleans can begin to understand how much our championship meant to us. As much as we party around here, we've never celebrated anything to the extent we did our Super Bowl win. See pictures/video of our never ending celebrations here: http://www.BlackandGoldPartyGras.com/
