I don't know of any actual reason why kids shouldn't read ebooks. I'm just glad when kids read...but it makes me irrationally sad to think they won't be holding physical copies of books and turning pages. Maybe I'm just old.

Well yes and no.
YES because they will learn how to read faster and learn!

And
NO because if you dont hide it from them or tell them no to mess with it, its gonna end up in the toilet. They were trying to wash it off.

Is there any factually supportable reason to suppose that, in contemporary American society, and with visible trends, e-books won't largely replace paper books for small children? ( other than - just perhaps- the cost of the device and the risk of breakage?)
