What Washington needs is adult supervision.

Huntsman has obviously been an asset to the Obama Administration as of late, particularly as he notes the advancements in China that are of concern to the the US. It is clear that he has the President's ear and our competition with China came up in the recent SOTU. If he decides to run in 2012, I don't know if it will fill his vocation. He seems to be entirely devoted to Asian politics and culture. It would be really interesting to know more about him before he is corrupted by the Far Right.

The reality is that Huntsman is a man with magic underpants who the Holy Republican Cults of Jesus Inc will find absolutely unacceptable in their InsaniTEA of purity testing.

The man is intelligent, articulate and thoughtful. Frankly, it's hard to imagine why he'd appeal to the majority of Republicans in this era of angry populism. I hope he runs, though. He would raise the quality of debate, and help keep the focus on issues.

Notice how he leaves out the word "comunist" when he says "The Party".

Jon, seem to relate better with China than the USA his need for order is more in line to the collective than our chos here at home so I want to do my homework. From this interview he clearly respects China more than India. this is clear to me and could be a problem as is his need of order,.

Who's Jon Huntsman?
07:14 PM on 01/01/2011
Jon Huntsman does an impressive job of managing the equilibrium between US and
China relations but this does not indicate a "control" of the dynamics in the equation.
China will consume and produce in ever increasing quantity with one motivation =
managing the World's resources and dominating the World's politics.

China is increasingly wary of its huge loans to the US through its investment in US
Treasury Bonds. China's sale of those Bonds or withdrawal from the US capital markets
would destabilize our economy so severely that the economic meltdown of 2008 would
seem a minor event in comparison.

One solution, touched on by Jon Huntsman, is to offer China control of US markets
through our banking and brokerage houses. Your next stock broker may be located
in Beijing or Shanghai and he or she will highly recommend that you purchase US
stocks in which the Chinese government has taken a substantial investment position.
