Birds Fall From Sky

It remains a mystery why thousands of birds fell from the sky and were found dead this past weekend in the small Arkansas town of Beebe.

The AP reports:

Mike Robertson, the mayor in Beebe, told The Associated Press the last dead bird was removed about 11 a.m. Sunday in the town about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock. He said 12 to 15 workers, hired by the city to do the cleanup, wore environmental-protection suits for the task.

The birds had fallen Friday night over a 1-mile area of Beebe, and an aerial survey indicated that no other dead birds were found outside of that area. The workers from U.S. Environmental Services started the cleanup Saturday.

One theory is New Year's Eve fireworks may have spooked the birds and caused significant stress. The birds seemed to exhibit physical injury though, so a freak lightning or hail storm is another possible cause.

Well, I would have to agree with the gas from the volcanic activity because they said they all had a mysterious blue ring around their beaks. That sounds more like a chemical reaction to me. I like to know who the so-called expert is that "guessed" that it was the fireworks display that killed thousands of birds instantaniously. If that were the case, every time we let off any kind of loud noise it would kill birds. Think about it, there have been explosions a LOT bigger than a firework, and no dead birds. Hello!?!?!

On Oct 13 2010 an earthquake in Oklahoma occluded a small pocket of Hydrogen Sulfide gas. A very poisonous instanltly lethal gas. If a bird flys through the vapor of even the smallest concentrations it dies in mid air. The first earthquake a 4.3 involved a layer of geologic time that in Oklahoma is a huge producer of the gas. Its called sour gas .In the past few weeks there have been several other 2.3+ quakes if the formation dumped any into the air the easternly flow would rise and strike in the prime missippi flyway .The red wing flys in tight formation and was in the wrong place at the right time. Both mishaps (ark and LA)should be investigated by gas chromatagraph on the lung sections. The fish were a result of the gas perking through the river edges and being swept down the river attacking the larges species first. The continued earthquake activity In this region may result in a similiar happening . Off gases from well formations are regular problems and each well is clearly marked as "Poison Gas- H2S Hydrogen Sulfide"

Come on, seriously, fireworks? Someone could have been testing something, or spraying too much of something. Isn't that at least as much of a possibility? Why it that so hard to consider and print?

I doubt very seriously that a New Years firework demonstration caused this. Its not like this was the FIRST firework display ever! What about other birds in other places?

Two words: Chemical Trails

sprayed across the sky.

Let's see, when things happen in other countries, people like Pat Roberson say it was God's Punishment for that country's stance on gay rights or some other issue they don't like . Or that the country made a deal with the devil at some point and is now paying the price. How do they explain it when God's Punishment happens in the Bible Belt?

yes, Mr. Robertson...what is your take on these deaths?
