Well, let's see. Back in the day, we always made a Major Distinction between Reporters and Journalists. Hence, why Geraldo Riviera was Blown-Out at ABC. He kept calling himself a "Journalist" in a seemingly concerted, Self-Engrandizing Campaign. That, was Intolerable to the Community of Respectable Journalists. Then came "Al Capone's Vault"...

For John, I've seen this sad spiral all too often. An Exemplary Track-Record, squandered by the Human Frailties that plagues Amateurs. Right down to "Office Romance".

But then, The Question. Is this just another example of the de-evolution of the Profession? ...or is it just another, all-to-often, Individual Failure.

Where the lines have been blurred between the Serious, Impartial, Dissemination of Information, and a Pop-Bubblegum Dee-Jay... I guess it was only inevitable.

Son, I am dissapoint.

Honestly, if he wants to work at Faux, knowing that it is what it is, then good riddance. Get all of the sellouts who would work for that morally bankrupt entertainment channel out of real journalism.

I am pleasantly surprised to see John on FOX. I watch an hour of four different news channels and read multiple papers and mags every day. I log on a different internet news source every couple of hours. In my experience those that only get their current events from one or two sources doesn't want a complete understanding of the issue, they want to be stroked. Most news sources depending on who the reporter/voice is will have a bias. There are some sources that propagate a belief based in their world view. But John in my experience has been a presenter of events and facts more than opinion.

It's a good move for all concerned. Looks like the libs will have to watch more Fox News.
They seem to know more about what Rush, Beck, fill in the blank, do on their shows than anyone else.

Sorry, I don't expect ever to watch what is described as "News", but what is really propaganda.

Ya know, I wonder if people who watch Faux have brain or do you live under a rock and watch Faux only and never come out into the real world.....eh, em, I wonder what that thing that you are using to make the post that you made is....What do you think it is?

For your info, the internet has been around for awhile now and if you haven't realized that then you need to keep watching Faux.

Unlike you I don't need to watch Faux to know what it is about and the propaganda that it spews and the cowards that you people call journalists.....I have the internet!!

Agreed. And to this Canadian, Roberts' phoney, put-on US accent simply grates. Guess the money at Fox must be good. Certainly can't be the journalistic standard. You know, say something often enough and it becomes the truth....

Another coup for Fox. Face it, nobody cares about any other news organizations, they have made themselves irrelevant by listening to this type of high schoolish, "I don't like them" nonsense.

Just as real estate is where all people in AZ end up after they have failed at everything else, Fox "News" is the Sargasso Sea for washed up half talent TV talking heads. Take away their Preparation H, put them in a hard chair and turn on the lights and cameras. They call it "programming" there.

Well if you are a bitter snarky sarcastic newscaster and failed at other networks then surely FOX is the place for you.

Just browsing some conservative sites and similar comments and sentiments are showing up, though that of a different persuasion. Conservatives are decrying how this "progressive hack" is now going to taint the "ideological purity" of their beloved station... Funny how this argument is playing out on both sides of the ideological spectrum. Just an observation.
