Exclusive Clip From The New Season Of 'The Ricky Gervais Show' On HBO (VIDEO)

Normally Ricky Gervais is here to make you laugh, but today he comes to you with a serious charity appeal. Sort of.

In this exclusive clip from the new season of "The Ricky Gervais Show" on HBO, a somber Gervais asks you to imagine how hard it is to be born with a "spongey, chimp-like brain" causing you to think things like "a seal is a cross between a fish and a dog."

He's talking, of course, about Karl Pilkington, the butt of many of the jokes that go on between Gervais and partner Stephen Merchant on their very funny podcast-turned-animated-series.

Rich coming from someone who used some of Mr. Dilkington's observations on gift-giving (without attribution) in his recent stand-up show, observations that he ridiculed when Mr. Dilkington first made them.

Can't wait for the new series. They did a great job on the last one. Even the theme tune was good.
