Joe Scarborough Turns Up On House Floor, Gets Mocked By Matthews

Former House member Joe Scarborough turned up on the floor of the chamber during the start of the 112th Congress on Tuesday, and the cameras caught him there--prompting some ribbing from fellow MSNBC host Chris Matthews.

"What do you think of the rule that allows former members like Joe Scarborough to walk around the floor with such impunity?" he joked to his guest, Politico's editor John Harris.

"I've never seen such casualness...he's table-hopping with abandon!" Matthews said, as the cameras followed Scarborough laughing, joking and back-slapping with some Democratic members of Congress, including now-Minority Whip Steny Hoyer.

"Maybe he's rustling up guests for tomorrow," Matthews continued.
