If you're in Downtown Los Angeles, drop by the Music Center Plaza at lunchtime to catch a free performance by Cirque du Soleil, as well as other festivities. It's all to kick off the third annual LA Arts Month. At the Aero Theatre, there will be a short film showcase of independent films by women directors (including the film Bastard by actress Kirsten Dunst). Finally, at the Hammer Museum you can get your fill of art and film with a screening of Hitchcock's Vertigo, which is being screened in support of Julian Hoeber's Demon Hill installation.
