Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco Take On Brett Favre's Fine (VIDEO)

First Posted: 01/06/11 08:30 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:25 PM ET

In the latest episode of the "T.Ocho Show," Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco weighed in on Brett Favre's $50,000 fine for his lack of cooperation in the NFL's investigation into allegations of the 41-year-old sending a Jets hostess racy voicemails and naked photos in 2008.

Owens said if that someone else was in the same situation, it would have been handled differently.

"Time and time again, I'm always gonna put one of us in the situation, and if it was somebody else, this right here would have been dealt with early on," Owens said. "What more can you get out of Brett Favre? They fined him 50 grand, that's nothing. They just gave him 4 million extra dollars just to come back and play this year. Do you think somebody's gonna give me an extra four million just to come back and play next year?"

Ochocinco chimed in and warned that the segment better not be edited.

"You wanna know why they won't give you an extra $4 million to come back and play? 'Cause you're black. Period. Case closed," he said.

Host Kevin Frazier and Owens immediately started laughing as Ochocinco continued his rant.

"The season is over. We can't get in trouble. I will say what I please now," said Ochocinco.

T.O. used to get on my nerves, but now I just don't care anymore. Love Ocho, though.

Why do they have to run irrelevant articles like this? Why can't they just stick with pictures of Kim K in a bikini or Sarah P with her lips puckered as she's giving a speech?

No Ocho, the fine was what it was because, they could prove NONE of the allegations, Farve had never been in trouble with the league before, and Farve is history so why give him a fine he might appeal therefore making it neccessary to deal with him further? All my opinion of course but I do get tired of hearing the "it's because he/she/I'm black argument." Ok, I am white and I have never been subjected to racial profiling or out and out racism. I know it exists but I just do not think he was correct this time that it involved the outcome of this fine.

Yeah never been in trouble before.. Except the little drug addiction thing that he admitted to...When has T.O. or Ocho ever had issues with narcotics?

You're kinda proving their point..

Brett is no angel..

Yes, I had forgotten about the pain killers, thank you for the correction. A quick search tells me that was in '96, almost 15 years ago, does he deserve a second chance after that?

I do not agree that I proved any point, what point and how did I prove it? Besides why exactly are you questioning me about T.O. and Ocho? Did I mention their names as an example to put against Farve's record? AND I never ever said Farve was an angel. As far as I know the only issues T.O. and Ocho have is with showboating and talking a little too much. But as a fan of a team with a young talented quarterback and no one to throw the ball too, they can come to St. Louis and it wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

I'm not a fan of either of these two yahoos...but I will agree with Owens on one thing (leaving race out) if it was someone else (a no name player that doesn't hold any NFL records) it really would have been handled differently...

[/sarcasm on]Impossible!! We have a Black president now!!! Racism no longer exists. When are "these people" going to get that through their heads. Plus they're rich. It's impossible for rich people to experience racism!! [/saracasm off]

Bengals should have signed Randy Moss too, then they could have had a trifecta of whiners.

"You wanna know why they won't give you an extra $4 million to come back and play? 'Cause you're black. Period. Case closed," he said.

Wow. The most ignorant comment ever uttered regarding the NFL. HELLO? A large portion of the NFL is black! And they get a heck of a lot more than $4 million extra to play. This is BRETT FAVRE we are talking about. The difference between him and these two @ss clowns is that he earned his spot in the annuls of football legends. They don't want to pay you that money, you idi0t, is that you simply are not that good. You are certainly not NEARLY as good as you think you are. Marvin Lewis needs to get on ridding you of his team immediately.
07:57 AM on 01/07/2011
You're ignorant also. Owens is a head case, but will be in the HoF, same as your hero Brett Faroff...

Try this - just close your eyes and imagine Donovan McNab doing the things that Brett has. Close your eyes and imagine Rex Grossman as a black QB - do you think he would still be in the league, let alone starting?

As for you commenting that a large portion of the league is black - sure it is except for the highest paid position, QB. Curious isn't it that the marquee position is dominated by the white guy. Oh and the coaches are almost all white too. I guess the black guys are good for tackling, running and catching but just cannot get their heads around the QB position and Head coaching... *rolls eyes*

but of course that is just all coincidence, because the only kind of racism that exists is reverse racism and of course anti-semitism ;)

so you just want white guys out of the league in every capacity?!?!...and you tell OTHER people their racist?
White people can't dominate ONE position, but black people can?...man, does it hurt your head to waffle like that?...

UGH they are insufferable. 1.) They are really not that great of players. You two can wear your ridiculous glasses and have your stupid cameras follow you around all you want but your stats won't improve because of them. 2.) They are jealous. I don't like Favre all that much either but I can certainly concede he is an NFL legend. These two are just jokes. 3.) Why does Marvin Lewish allow this? If I were their coach I would tell them to keep their mouths shut and end this ridiculous show.
07:59 AM on 01/07/2011
But you're not a coach. just some dude ranting about a subject he knows nothing about. Owens is a bonafide Hall of Famer. Stats don't lie. the problem with the team this year had nothing to do with the "unsufferable" WR, but everything to do with a QB that likes to throw the ball to the other team's players.

No matter what one thinks of these two (I like 'em - because sports is entertainment and I find them entertaining) they are spot on about the fine - it's a joke and a stain on the NFL. The fine is LESS than what Favre was paid for any given series of four downs at his rate of pay - do the math - and his refusal to cooperate was a calculated move to avoid more serious fines/sanctions, obviously the consequence of expensive legal advice.

The NFL didn't exactly allow themselves to be played by Favre- they aren't NEARLY as dumb as they like to be perceived as - it's more like they were co-conspirators...

I agree that the fine was a mere pittance. But don't think it had to do with race, rather economics.

Well, that's about the only thing I've agreed with Chad on for years now.
