Via LA Weekly: David Beckham's matte black Porsche is yours for the taking on EBay for $150,000 (and counting). Marina del Rey dealership Chequered Flag International put the car on the online auction site and has so far received 55 bids. The 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible has so many custom features that Celebrity Cars Blog calls it a "murdered-out Porsche Turbo." Upgrades include bass speakers under the back seats, "expensive off set three piece rims and Techart exhaust," and the number "23" (Beckham's jersey number) embroidered or emblazoned on the seats, rims, and floor mats.
LA Weekly reports on the money that David Beckham invested in the car's custom features:
Since Beckham apparently bought it for $145,000 and then, according to the dealer's claim, sunk another $50,000 in customization into the ride, it appears that his fame has added some collector's value to the 500 horsepower "cabrio."
The Kelly Blue Book "retail" value for such a convertible with low miles (6,774) is $113,110, not accounting for customization.
