Petra Nemcova & Jamie Belman Engaged (PHOTOS)

Supermodel Petra Nemcova and British actor Jamie Belman are engaged, Vogue UK reports. The pair has been together for eight months after meeting through mutual friends. No word on when or where the wedding will take place.

Nemcova was previously engaged to photographer Simon Atlee who died in the Thailand tsunami
in 2004. Since then, she's devoted part of her time to humanitarian work, creating the Happy Hearts Fund to improve children's lives in natural disaster areas.

Belman is best-known for his role on British tv series "Missing" and his part in the 2008 film "Somers Town."

Wish Petra the best. Such a stunning person inside and out. Love her smile...wondering why the dude doesn't grin that much in the photo. Can't help thinking about Simon -he was a smiley man. I hope everything works out great.

Odd. In pictures 1, 2, and 3 he has his head tilted away from her as if trying to distance himself mentally from her.

While I admire her for her strength, courage, and humanitarian efforts, I cannot sanction any engagement of hers if it is to anyone not named Malarcus.

This woman is a role model for our girls and young women (or for anyone). After experiencing a terrible loss and very serious injury, she used the experience in humanitarian efforts helping children. She apparently conducts herself without incident, does not have a sleezy reality show, or has not sought out publicity for her ego. I'm happy for her and wish her the best.

I agree! She was utterly heartbroken and if I recall she suffered a broken pelvis as well as a host of serious injuries. She has been on numerous talk shows through the years talking about her loss and the loss of so many precious lives that day. She has impressed me with her grace. I am happy that she has found love again, something that is hard to do when you've been heartbroken.
