With Borders Books in trouble but Barnes and Noble doing well, and with indie bookstores getting so much positive attention, it seems like so many wacky things are going on with bookstores these days.

But besides all the changes taking place, what's so special about bookstores themselves? Other than the books they sell, bookstores also usually have an assortment of other intriguing curiosities for sale. What might those items be? Click through the slide show to find out the weirdest things Huff Post readers have bought at bookstores.

For the most part, these seem lame. Coffee? Really?

But the shrub countdown clock was probably for the sake of somebody's mental health.

Ive been in a few really odd indie bookstores. Theres an amazing one in Baltimore, MD that has a full junk shop mixed in, and the books are in almost no discernible order, just piled and leaning. I bought my Dad a paperback of Cannery Row and an awesome little brass thingy, and my friend bought her Dad a reproduction poster. Another one in Emmaus, PA has a section devoted to local authors, filled with home printed and bound books. Its adorable.

Old Willow? Its on Main, across the street from the bakery. This is going to sound insane, but is your mom S. Hart, married to R. Hart, w/ a puppy named Molly?

Didn't know you could get the Dead Rubber Ducks in yellow. And aren't their eyes usually closed or crossed out?

I didn't know it needed to be specified that they are dead.

Actually, the Vincent van Gogh comment, number four, is mine Chris Roberts. Huff Books really needs to attribute these quotes and not so casually co-opt them, a nice way of saying steal.
