Arnold Fields Resigns: U.S. Watchdog For Afghan Contracting Steps Down

The embattled top watchdog of U.S. contracting in Afghanistan announced Monday that he was resigning days after vowing to resist congressional demands to step down.

A White House press release gave no specific explanation for the resignation of Arnold Fields, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).
