CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A former University of Virginia lacrosse player accused of killing a women's lacrosse player will make a video court appearance after being charged with additional counts in the case.

The hearing for George Huguely is scheduled for Monday morning in Charlottesville General District Court.

New charges of felony murder, robbery, burglary, statutory burglary and grand larceny were filed against Huguely on Friday. He already was being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge in the slaying of Yeardley Love.

Love was found dead May 3 in her apartment after suffering blunt-force trauma to the head. Huguely told police at the time that they had been involved in a relationship that had recently ended.

Why is this taking so long to go to trial...he admitted his guilt....now what... the overpaid lawyers are hoping that time is on their side?!! I don't think any jury will find him innocent!

A lot of waiting is for legal process but a great deal is to get the case on the docket. There are just too many cases. I know that a white girl being a possible murder victim is a top priority there are other cases in the courts. Most cases take 2 years, it is ridiculous. Then another 10 years appealing it all. Best of luck to everyon involved.
The latest charges he has are suspect, almost as though they need something to make sure ge gets jail time. Very strange goings on.

Oh my goodness. So he is accused of killing her over the demise of a relationship, I'd hate to see what he's like when he loses a match.

My thoughts are with the family of Ms. Love.
