We're not sure what to make of hats or suit jackets covered in tiny Recom OLED screens, but they definitely turn heads in a crowded conference hall.

Nothing about the wireless cooking soup makes sense to me. But I bet it's delicious.

Weird gadgets are cool, but CES is so much more than that.

Samsung's new refrigerators can actually be really useful but have they taken it to far by connecting a refrigerator to Twitter? I understand social media has consumed our lives but has it gotten to the point that we can't escape from it no matter where we turn??

self toasting grill cheese sandwiches are just on the horizon. Just break the seal activating genetically engineered microbes that heat the sandwich to perfection.

The Dynamics card and the embrodiery machine have a future, and if I had to pick one it would be tough but I would go for the embrodiery machine if it were an improvement somehow over the good ones already on the market.

The rest of these thingees are the result of venture capital "angels" with more money than investment sense.

I can't imagine what some of the pitches for these products were like.

Oh sure, guys, downvote the the cute baby seal robots for children's hospitals and nursing homes but put the super-awesome credit card that makes going into debt three times easier in the #2 spot. :P

Somehow I find using robots to soothe children and old people very, very depressing. And I can't imagine it would work very well. But hey, as long as healthy people don't have the burden to care for the sick, right?

The idea that technology makes our lives better... just a lot more things that will find their way to landfill.

I'm not sure I understand the waterproof vibrators. Don't all vibrators have to be waterproof?
09:56 AM on 01/11/2011
There is sometimes a series of buttons or even an "external" battery case that may not be waterproof.

Leave it to the post office. This is the same organization that tried to increase the cost of the postage stamp again this year. The Democrats wouldn't hear of it, but they would've done it if they could have. I can see where their money is going now. It

After being self-sufficient for decades, the Post Office is facing record deficits this year and beyond. Would you prefer they make up for it with tax revenue? Or with deliveries only 3 days a week? Most of their price increases are for commercial mail, which is much higher volume than First Class, but it still isn't enough.

Been to the post office lately? Take a look at how long these people work for salaries approaching 100K a year. Not good service at all.

There is always strange and unusual products at CES. Only maybe 10% make it to production.
