Etta James Suffering From Leukemia, Dementia

Sad news. Best of health to Etta James. She's one of the last true soulful bluesy women that could rock, too, she has it all a true performer.

"At Last" is just so lovely, a classic.

But I'm partial to "I'd Rather Go Blind (than to see you walk away)".

Saw her in concert once and was not prepared for her "schtick"----she is n-a-s-t-y! I think I was the only one in the audience not aware of that....

I saw Etta James at the Playboy jazz festival In Los Angeles a few years ago. She turned the place out. I have always loved her voice.
