Critics' Choice Awards 2011 & More: Who Was Friday Night's Best-Dressed? (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 01/15/2011 9:54 am   Updated: 05/25/2011 6:25 pm

Hooray for Hollywood! The red carpets were packed on Friday night as famous faces hit the Critics' Choice Awards, the AFI Awards and W magazine's Golden Globes party.

So who was best-dressed? We're giving high marks à la mode to Emma Stone and Michelle Williams -- both in Balenciaga, Mila Kunis' sparkly top and black pants ensemble, Sofia Vergara in Temperley (guess she found something to wear!), Jennifer Lawrence who put in two good and very different showings and Julianne Moore who surprisingly wasn't wearing Lanvin.

See the list of The Critics' Choice Awards winners here.

Take a look and tell us what you think.

I haven't seen a collection of worse-looking dresses in a long time. f course, I only made it 3/4 of the way through, so it's possible there was one good on way at the end. Oh, Emperor's Clothes wins again.

I'm in agreement that Annette Benning looks lovely. Several of the others do, too, but with the Big Shots format, I can't refer to an index to quickly review them and pull their names. There was another attractive winter white sleeveless long gown on a buxom caramel-skinned actress that looked pretty, too, but I'm ashamed to say I'm unfamiliar with who the actress was.

I really like Annette Benning, she just looked natural and the colour
of the dress is perfect. I also liked Elle Fanning. elegant yet young
with no in your face shock.

Annette Benning was the only one who looked genuine. Her style was simple and elegant, including how she carries herself. The contrived posing makes anyone look weird. Most of the others I wouldn't wear to the proverbial dogfight...

Is anybody really watching who has what designer on any more? There are so many award shows now I believe folks are desensitized to dressing up.

I can't get past the fact that these girls are all so painfully thin already, and they insist on doing that stupid pose where they cross their feet at the ankles. It's that "trick" they are all using to make themselves look hourglass, but I think first, it's ridiculous on frames so small, and second, it looks absurd.

That's the answer in Hollywood, thin as you can get, dye your hair blond and look like everybody else. I caught a soap opera one day and almost all the females were blond!!!

I hope they were serving hamburgers. Most of those gals could surely use a few. All that clicking and clacking of bones would be far too distracting.

2011 is not off to a good start here by the look of the majority of these dresses.

Besides the fact that I have no clue who most of these people are, why do the photographers insist on taking photographs at such an unfavorable angle? They all look like tiny people with short legs and big shoulders. The fashions - beh. There wasn't one dress or outfit there that I would buy if I had all the money in the world. And speaking of those legs, most of the ones that I saw would be better covered up. I am so sick of that naked, sinewy leg look that belongs on a beach or with a pair of shorts and flip-flops, NOT with evening wear and those high heels. Yuck.

couldn't agree with you more! I know we all hated pantyhose, but I hear they're making a comeback...wishful thinking? The bare leg look is not flattering in dress-up. Most of the outfits looked put together by a committee as the old saying goes...

I'm sure every time Brad Pitt sees Juliette Lewis, he breathes a sign of relief, and thanks god she was one that got away.

I'm not of fan of any of the Kardashians, but I must admit that I find Khloe looking very good these days.

I hate when men wear suit jackets and they only button one of the 2 buttons...I also don't like it when their jackets are too short..and can somebody tell me why men thinks it's stylish to show the whole front to their pants (zipper and crotch) when they're wearing a suit jacket and the jacket is buttoned?

Emma Stone needs to go back to being a brunette.
