Kim Cattrall Tapped As New Face Of Olay

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 01/17/2011 9:56 pm Updated: 05/25/2011 6:25 pm

The Huffington Post:

Tinseltown isn't known to be generous with glamorous offers to maturing actresses, so when a major brand signs a new face over fifty, we think it's worthy of a big cheer.

Kim Cattrall -- famous for her role on "Sex & The City" as the ferocious vixen Samantha Jones -- has been tapped as Olay's new spokesperson for the brand's anti-aging line of Total Effects body products.

I hope they let the Sex & the City franchise die- I avoided the second movie like the plague because even the trailer was embarrassingly tone-deaf.

Isn't it beyond "tapped" when the contract is signed and the campaign is out!?

I just thought ladies who neared to age of senior citizenship embraced their age. Atleast alot better than most men would. I just figured this is something that would start at the age of 35.

I am fairly certain that PROCTOR AND GAMBLE has done some research on the age of customer they want to target...Olay is a multi-billion dollar brand...

Well, if 40 is the new 30 then it makes sense. Sort of. Anyhoo, she looks amazing for her age.

Hollywood, give her more work! Miss her already.

She actually can act. Just saw her on Masterpiece Theater as Carrie Kipling, wife of Rudyard Kipling, in "My Boy Jack", and she was excellent. True, since she played an American, she didn't have to struggle with a British accent, but she was very good in the part. On top of that, she looked plain, her hair was darker, and she didn't seem to insist on flattering lighting because you could see the lines and folds in her face. I recommend it.

she was on the stage in London doing private Lives and got great reviews. I hope they bring it over here

Biggest mistake she ever made was going blond. I loved her early brunette roles. Even the deplorable "Porky's".

Another wrinkly, aging blond w%ite woman. To be fair, they have not had such a beautiful woman as Catherine Deneuve in the 70's. All gloves were off back then but so much for non-variety I guess.

She's smart, funny, gorgeous...the perfect choice. More power to her, and more power to Olay for choosing her.
