Anderson Cooper Narrating Broadway Show

Anderson Cooper

NEW YORK — CNN's Anderson Cooper is bringing his talents to Broadway. Well, at least his voice.

The newsman will record the voice of the narrator in the upcoming revival of "How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying)."

Walter Cronkite was the voice of the narrator in the 1995 revival of the musical starring Matthew Broderick. The part is prerecorded.

The latest version stars Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette.

Previews begin Feb. 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on 45th Street. The show officially opens March 27.

Anderson Cooper bought and sold by Wall Street.
Not one iota of integrity on focusing on the looting of the US Treasury by banksters.
Should be called Anderson Stupor 240.
He helps banksters shaft the American people.
Not one whiff of integrity just a fame and money junkie
with nothing fronm the heart.
He's been exposed by American student revolution
-signed sealed and delivered -he sucks.
Thanks Anderson for helping JP Morgan destroy the middle class with fraud.
It would be nice if you did your friggin job!!!

Oh, my. Not a good choice. I humbly disagree. I LOVE Anderson Cooper. Love love love him. But he has very bad diction, and if you aren't watching him, it's sometimes hard to tell what he's saying. He garbles many of his consonants, and sometimes I think people he's asking a question of have trouble understanding him. If he has some vocal coaching, maybe. Of course, just the familiarity of his voice will help the buzz, but he does not have the kind of voice Cronkite had. How about TJ Holmes? He has a lovely resonant voice.

I think this is a great idea. Anderson Cooper is a great candidate for this -- his voice is incredible and I think he will bring a lot of new audience members in addition to adding to production value.

I like how he's following in Cronkite's footsteps. It's nice to see journalism trends repeat themselves.

Should be an easy transition. Reporters are actors. They need to be able to lie convincingly to their audiences on a daily basis and they do.
