Travis Barker Set To Release Debut Solo Album

Drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182 fame is set to release his debut solo album complete with an all-star line up of guest artists. The album, entitled 'Give The Drummer Some' will be focused on hip-hop and will feature some of the genre's biggest names. Lil Wayne, the Game, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Ross are featured on "Can a Drummer Get Some," while Raekwon, RZA, and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will be featured on another tune entitled "Carry It."

After his previous forays into hip-hop, including side project The Transplants, the pop-punk drummer's collaboration with some of rap's biggest names is not shocking. However, one guest that is somewhat unexpected is none other than NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. Other notables to appear on the album include Ludacris, Kid Cudi, and Clipse. In a 2009 MTV interview Barker also claimed Blink 182 would record a new song to be released on the solo album. With a star-studded cast like the one Barker has thrown together, it looks like it will indeed be difficult for the drummer to get some. However, if Barker stays true to his signature flashy style and complex rhythms, he'll have no problem standing out in the crowd. "Give The Drummer Some' is set to be released on March 15.
