Hillary Clinton: I Haven't Committed To Serving Second Term (VIDEO)
During an appearance on NBC's "Today" show on Wednesday morning, Hillary Clinton said that she hasn't committed to serving a second term as secretary of state if President Barack Obama is reelected to the White House in 2012.
Clinton suggested that she sees herself spending less time in the public spotlight in coming years.
"I think we've made a real difference in restoring American leadership and credibility around the world, but I do look forward to having a little more spare time and a few more hours just to, you know, take a deep breath," she said.
When asked for her take on a recent prediction made by former Vice President Dick Cheney that Obama would be a one-term president, Clinton said she "could not disagree more" with his assertion.
"I think President Obama has been playing the hand that he was dealt by the Bush-Cheney administration very well indeed," she explained, "rescuing not just the American economy but the global economy, beginning to deal with a lot of our long-term competitive challenges."
