WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says a state visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao (hoo jihn-tow) is laying the foundation for deeper prosperity between their two nations. (Scroll down for photos of Hu Jintao's arrival)

Said Obama: "We have an enormous stake in each other's success."

Obama said the relationship between the countries has prospered over the last three decades. Standing next to Hu at a grand arrival ceremony on the South Lawn, Obama also pushed for respect for the universal rights of every human being. China's record on human rights has been a source of huge division with the United States. Hu was at the White House for a day of meetings on security, trade, economic and other matters. He was also being treated to a lavish state dinner.

You've GOT to admit, these 2 guys (the 2 Presidents) are VERY impressive looking. Go head President Obama with your bad self. Get our MONEY BACK!!!

Money is nothing. It is the continuing supply of resources and labors (in the form of electronics, toys, shows, textiles) from China without physical resource payment in return from US that is what is at the core of the relationship.

Actually, about three years ago, the Chinese said the reason they buy Treasury bills instead of gold is because the price of gold is too volatile. Being a better investment than gold is not undesirable, IMO!
