Lady Gaga To Debut New Song At Mugler Menswear Show (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 01/19/11 08:50 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:25 PM ET

Lady Gaga is set to debut her newest track at the Mugler show in Paris on Wednesday, StyleList reports. And you'll be able to hear it on Mugler.com and AOL at noon on Thursday.

So, what's the connection? Haus of Gaga Fashion Director Nicola Formichetti has been doubling as Mugler's Creative Director and this is his first collection for the house-formerly-known-as-Thierry-Mugler.

Along with Gaga's song, the show is slated to feature Formichetti's muse Rick Genest, or "Zombie Boy," who has had his body tattooed to look like a skeleton. Wow!

Formichetti explained to VMAN, "I feel like a curator than a designer...It's all about different characters and collaborations. I want to say something that has the past and the future, but what is really important to me is the present."

Check out a preview of Zombie Boy from StyleList and an advance look at Formichetti's new designs, courtesy of VMAN.

I've gotta say this for GAGA, she keeps it interesting!

...because things went so well for the label to debute a Gaga single.

That should read "....because things wents so well for the last label to debute a Gaga single."

Although I am not a fan of facial tattoos, that Zombie Boy is hot.

But if Zombie Boy was fat no designer would find him interesting. That's why when people argue that fashion is "cutting edge" I laugh -- it's highly predictable. Same body type for everyone, just add some different cosmetics or in this case tattoos on the same body shape. Same for ethnic differsity in modeling -- same body shape, slightly different skin color. Highly predictable.

Lady Gag Ga tries way too hard to be different.

I wonder if Zombie Boy will regret tatting his body like that...
05:30 PM on 01/19/2011
she tries just hard enough.

most of her "cutting edge" ensembles are just ideas borrowed from 80's groups and augmented with some modern fashionista attitude.

I really hope, for the sake of the long-term occupation of planet earth--by humans--that he really thought about it several times before and after he got each extra few inches done.

"do I really want to go all the way through with this--really??"

if not....Cassandra was right.

Gaga writes and sings a few good songs, but the fashionista angle is so tired, so 1980's. These people think they're so hip, but they're pathetically square.

I'm going to go ahead and be an art snob here. Few people on here seem to have any concept of fashion as art, which is, essentially, the entire world that most high fashion.

I'm not suprised that you're derisive towards Mugler, Genest, etc. You all sound like children running around a museum, commenting on art you know nothing about.
05:20 PM on 01/19/2011
and you're the one kid in the class who's mommy is a fashion/art elite--aka BOURGEOISIE

fashion as art--is tired. art as art--is tired.

show me something new. not the same recycled ideas and piggy-backing written off as something "new". Maybe then I'll take this "Art as Fashion" as serious as it tries to make itself out to be.

then again, something actually "new" or "cutting edge" would, in fact, only attract disgust from all the ivy-league art-/fashion institute drones who only know of "art" as a means to pay their rent.

You're so right, Leigh Bowery was a great artist. Much better than Andy Warhol.
But where does Gaga fit into that? She's just a rich kid hipster who got some tongues wagging. Look up the stuff she 'designed' before she had money, it was all very bland, fluorescent t-shirts customized into onesies, is not art.
The Muggler label is WAY over, if it weren't for the fragrances they would be completely washed up. And this whole collection looks like a poor man's Gareth Pugh.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Love the GaGa!

Is it too much to ask that Zombie Boy eats Lady Gaga? Seems like the best possible outcome of this pairing to me.

Oddly enough, I don't know ANYBODY who dresses like that.
Perhaps even more telling;
I don't WANT to know anybody who dresses like that.

Zombie Boy? Hope people can help from laughing while this is going on. Lady Gaga dresses like she pull everything out of her basement after ten Halloweens and got dress in the dark and people think this is fashion?

It's just very interesting! Have you ever seen her perform live? She's very talented and has a flair for entertainment. I suggest watching one of her performances on Ellen or SNL where she plays the piano also while in full garb. It's captivating as most pop idols really appear to lack substance/ability outside a sound studio.

More like predictably silly and frankly embarrassing to watch. She is a passable piano player, can't hold a note vocally to save her life and stole her whole persona from a dozen others, not emulated or improved on, just stole. Even her name isn't original.
10:32 AM on 01/19/2011
Wow that's real entertainment.
