Vera Silva, Portuguese Flight Attendant, Gets Proposed To On An Airplane (VIDEO)

This could just be the more adorable in-air proposal ever: Vera Silva, a Portuguese flight attendant, got the surprise of her life when her boyfriend, Joao Vieira, proposed to her mid-flight, according to the Telegraph.

Her fellow flight attendants, as well as the flight's pilot, were in on the trick as Joao told Vera he was taking a business trip. The flight, heading from Barcelona, had 80 passengers on board.

Very cute, funny and embarassing. I get it. However, its a question that is serious, romantic and long term. My choice would be more private, intimate and full of meaning so the woman could see the depth of my commitment. And with that said, yada yada yada lets get to the party!

I don't know what it is about public marriage proposals that have a vein of creepiness to them. The person getting proposed to is almost in a no win situation if they refuse and make it a very public put down and risk looking somewhat churlish when its undeserving. OTOH the person proposing is almost daring the other to say no publically if there is some uncertainty. Yuk. When I proposed to my wife it was a very private moment for me as it was for her. I was fairly certain of her answer and she later confided she was expecting it but clueless as to when it might come. But it was a shared moment I didn't care about sharing with others with the exception of our future child/children.
