Ever since we heard that the third season of "Parks and Recreation" was delayed until January to make room for "Outsourced" on NBC's Thursday night schedule, the premiere has been highly anticipated -- and the wait paid off. Last night's season premiere brought back arguably the best comedy ensemble on television, and we're inclined to agree with noted diva Rob Vesuvius Lowe that they should never be off the air that long again.
Speaking of Rob Lowe, the former "Wayne's World" and "West Wing" star was added to the cast of "Parks & Rec" last season (with "Party Down"'s Adam Scott), but in this episode he clearly came into his own. His abounding enthusiasm is at odds with his role as a government auditor sent to make cutbacks in the Pawnee municipal government. In true sitcom fashion, romantic entanglements change the dynamics of office politics, but not until after a date with Rashida Jones that ends up at a gay bar -- which Lowe embraces wholeheartedly.
Check out this clip of Rob Lowe, Amy Poehler, Adam Scott and Rashida Jones at the gay bar for their quasi-double date.
