Colbert Absorbs Keith Olbermann's Power (VIDEO)

WATCH: Stephen Colbert Becomes Keith Olbermann

On Monday night's "Colbert Report," Stephen Colbert took a moment to react to Keith Olbermann's abrupt exit from MSNBC. As is his custom whenever a pundit relinquishes his post, Colbert attempted to absorb the "Countdown" host's essence, opinions and audience to use as his own -- this time with mixed results.

Colbert has "absorbed" both Lou Dobbs and Gene Shalit in the past, taking on their personalities to make his punditry that much more powerful.

But as soon as Colbert absorbed Olbermann with a flash of lightning and wind, things got really weird. He donned a gray wig and glasses and began using a suspicious amount of words from the thesaurus as he spoke out against war. As you can imagine, this was way too much for conservative Colbert:

"I can't do it! I can't do it! My body is rejecting Keith like a pompous kidney."

Watch the rest of the clip to see how Colbert recovers from his transformation, and how he ends up creating the "Keith Olber-mug" instead.
