As we wait with baited breath to see who will be on the last cover of Vogue Paris under Carine Roitfeld's reign, new editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt nonchalantly revealed who will cover the first issue under her leadership in April: Gisele Bundchen.
Alt told WWD that the supermodel was already photographed in St. Barts by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matatin. The fashion newspaper adds, "Although [Alt's] name will appear at the top of the masthead of the April issue [...] August will be the first month to completely reflect her new direction."
So what will Gisele wear? Fashionista makes a pretty compelling argument for Balenciaga:
Why? Well, she's currently the face of Balenciaga, and the label's battle with former EIC Carine Roitfeld is well-documented. For Alt to use Balenciaga on the cover would be a major statement. What's more, it would make Paris Vogue's sales department very happy.
Gisele's been on the front of the French glossy at least three times...probably more.
